About me

Hi, I'm Stefanie! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Capricorn. I trace my journey into the mental health and wellness field back to 2009 when I naively stumbled into my first yoga class. I was shocked to find the powerful healing and self discovery that came out of simply becoming aware of my body and my energy. Through some difficult times in my life, yoga and meditation kept me resilient and open-hearted. It didn’t take long for me to become captivated with holistic approaches to healing.

During my undergraduate years at Boston University, I studied psychology and worked in neuroscience research labs. I thought briefly about dedicated my career to neuroscience research, but realized that working directly with people in a therapy office was a way better fit for me than working in a lab. I then went on to become trained as a yoga teacher as well as earn a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Chicago. After working in a very wide range of mental health and social justice advocacy settings at the beginning of my career, I honed my specialty in integrative mind/body therapy. I am grateful to have worked alongside and learned from many incredibly gifted healers and clinicians.

When I'm not working, I like to spend my time exploring nature, snuggling with my pets, acquiring an obscene number of houseplants, and smashing the white supremacist patriarchy.
