About me
I trace my journey into the mental health and wellness field back to 2009 when I naively stumbled into my first yoga class. I was awed by the powerful healing and self discovery that came out of simply becoming aware of my body and my energy. Through some difficult times in my life, yoga and meditation kept me resilient and open-hearted. It didn’t take long for me to become captivated with holistic approaches to healing.
During my undergraduate years at Boston University, I studied psychology and worked in neuroscience research labs. I thought briefly about dedicated my career to neuroscience research, but realized that my true passion lies in working directly with people in their healing. I then went on to become trained as a yoga teacher as well as earn a master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Chicago. After working in a very wide range of mental health and social justice advocacy settings at the beginning of my career, I honed my specialty in integrative mind/body therapy. I am grateful to have worked alongside and learned from many incredibly gifted healers and clinicians.
When I'm not working, I like to spend my time hiking, snuggling with my dog and two cats, acquiring an obscene number of houseplants, and smashing the white supremacist patriarchy.
