About me

Hi, I'm Stefanie! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Yoga Teacher. I like to trace my journey into the mental health and wellness field back to 2009 when I was first introduced to the practice of yoga. After a difficult time in my life, yoga helped me to heal and cultivate resilience. Through holistic practices, I was able to work through many of my own internal barriers and connect to myself more deeply. It didn't take long for me to become captivated with the power of holistic healing.

After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Boston University, I went on to earn a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago. I chose to pursue my masters degree in Social Work because it allowed me to study the intersection of individual mental health and larger systemic forces of oppression.

At the start of my career, I worked in a variety of settings including sexual trauma therapy, anti-sex trafficking work, suicide prevention, and substance abuse therapy. Over the past several years, I've honed my specialty in integrative therapy for clients struggling with trauma, attachment concerns, identity/self-esteem concerns, anxiety, or burnout. I am grateful to have worked alongside and learned from many incredibly gifted healers and clinicians.

When I'm not in the therapy office, I like to spend my time exploring nature, snuggling with my cat, acquiring an obscene number of houseplants, and smashing the white supremacist patriarchy.
